The UK Guide to US Universities
Bookshop
Just like in the UK, there are some key books to be thumbed over: see Links for a full list. Most of you will not need to buy any of them: the websites are stuffed with information and well laid out, and you can find the books at the US Educational Advisory Service libraries in Belfast, Birmingham, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, London, Londonderry, Manchester, Plymouth, St Andrews and Swansea (see Links for locations).
Additionally, many US university representatives visit the UK on a regular basis and attend the College Day USA fairs in London and Scotland which take place in early October. See www.fulbright.co.uk/eas for further information.
It will, though, be worth your while to buy your own personal copies of study guides for the exams that you have chosen to take. You can then work through these in your own time at home. You will find a multitude of them listed on the websites in Links, or on Amazon.com (some even on Amazon.co.uk).
